Ellis spent 28 years in manufacturing as he watched organzations get more and more toxic. A series of synchronicities led to him receiving the gift of being laid off and being able to move to Arkansas with his then fiancee Judi Neal. Like any good Edgewalker family, they live on the edge of town, where he has been answering his deeper call, part of which includes becoming certified as an Edgewalker Coach and Facilitator.
