MARIE WOLNY
FINANCE DIRECTOR
- Trainer – computer skills; author; mentor; workshop developer
I came into the International Association of Spirit at Work (founded by Judi Neal) in 1992 and I have continued to support Judi’s work, with a focus on Edgewalkers. I have consulted about business models, helped develop materials and given support to her personal and professional goals. Indeed, I have known her my whole life, as she is my sister. I have such great respect for her insights and deep comitment to helping others. Judi also saw in me the same – caring for others and my dedication to fairness, accuracy and meeting deadlines. With our long history together, I accepted this leadership position for Edgewalkers, handling the processing of financial information, which marries beautifully with my abilites and experience in IT program development, as well as accounting and bookkeeping – more than four decades of accounting positions in various retail, airline and accounting companies.

As I watched my sister, Judi, walk the edges of her mission, I too knew that I had the potential for more. My calling to help others developed after I quit smoking in 2006. My struggles to finally be free showed me new ways to quit smoking and I started writing my ‘Own Your Own Quit’ program. Of course, I asked Judi to read my drafts. Was I influenced after having read so many of her writings? Apparently, as using principles and practices in alignment with Edgewalkers, I asked each smoker to empower themselves and be more than they are when they started the program. Is empowering others to reach higher not part of what Edgewalkers do? I so hope my involvement with the Edgewalkers organization will help our team expand outward.
