Edgewalkers are people who walk between worlds and have the ability to build bridges between different worlds. They have a strong spiritual life and are very grounded and effective in the everyday material world. Edgewalkers are needed in the complex world of today because they use their full human potential to help move the world forward. They are future oriented, intuitive, practical, grounded, creative, and are change makers. All individuals have the capacity to be an Edgewalker in some aspect of their lives.
The Edgewalker Profile survey, developed by Dr. Judi Neal and Dr. Linda Hoopes, helps the individual to assess their level of the five qualities of an Edgewalker, and the five skills. The Archetypes of Change survey, also developed by Judi Neal and Linda Hoopes, helps the individual assess his or her typical response to change. A customized report is provided for each assessment, with personalized recommendations for developmental actions.

The Edgewalker Profile is a thoroughly tested valid and reliable scientific measure of the five qualities and five skills of an Edgewalker. You and your client both receive a personalized profile that supports powerful conversations with clients as you help them create their Edgewalker development plan. This tool is useful in life coaching, executive coaching, personal growth workshops, team building, and organizational assessment.
This virtual program is designed for experienced coaches and change agents who have previous experience with individual assessment and feedback. The certification process qualifies practitioners to use the Edgewalker Profile survey and the Archetypes of Change (Individual) survey. All online sessions are two-and-a-half to three hours in addition to viewing several short videos.
The certification process consists of:
Session 1: Training session – This session covers:
- Concepts related to Edgewalkers
- Background on the development of the assessment
- Appropriate uses of the tool
- Edgewalker Profile interpretation and feedback guidelines
- Practice profile interpretation on course participant Edgewalker Profiles
- Homework: Invite two individuals to take the Edgewalker Profile for practice purposes.
Session 2: Feedback/Prep session – One or two weeks after Session 1. In this session, participants are coached through their first delivery of feedback. They:
- Invite two individuals to complete the profile
- Complete interpretation worksheets in preparation for one-on-one meetings with each practice client who completed the profile
- Complete Session 2 preparation session before conducting the interpretation sessions with practice clients
- Homework: Schedule practice coaching sessions with your two practice clients.
Session 3: First Debrief session – Two or three weeks after Session 2. In this session:
- Participants debrief the feedback session with practice clients
- Introduction to the Certified Edgewalker Facilitator community
- Requirements for posting your Facilitator profile on our website
Session 4: Final Debrief session – One or two weeks after Session 3. In this session:
- Participants continue debrief the feedback session with practice clients
- Discuss the business and marketing aspects of working with the Edgewalker Profile and the Archetypes of Change (Individual)
- Collaborate on expanding the Edgewalker work
Cost of Certification
$1600 US for individuals. $2500 for corporate training.
Includes 3 free Edgewalker Profiles and 3 free Archetypes of Change surveys; one each for yourself and two each for practice client. Retail cost of the Edgewalker Profile and the Archetype of Change is $25 each.
Business Model
Most coaches bundle the profile and coaching together in a package that ranges in price from $250 to $500. You determine the price you offer Edgewalker Profile interpretations sessions to clients. Group profiles are available at extra cost.
As a Certified Facilitator, you will be given a series of codes that you can use for different purposes such as individual codes where your client pays the cost of the assessment, company codes where you pay the cost of the assessments and then invoice your client for the assessments, and a limited number of free codes for you to use for marketing purposes. All of this is explained in videos and in the online class.
If you have an organizational client that would like a break down by level, department or other criteria, there is an extra processing fee for this additional analysis and separate reports.
